IT audit: identify everything, document everything
Esches Vallée came to us with a growing concern: their IT infrastructure was ageing with no clear visibility into the risks involved. From servers to end-user PCs, everything was working — but for how long? This initiative aimed to strengthen the infrastructure and introduce new capabilities that would meet the teams' growing needs and evolving IT security requirements.
The findings: strengths and critical weaknesses
We spent hours inside their server room, armed with a notepad and pen. Every cable traced, every machine identified, every service mapped. Digital investigation complemented the physical inspection: hidden configurations, forgotten accounts, ghost automated processes.

The strategy: three axes of transformation
The solution was built around three complementary pillars:
- Cloud migration of user management to modernise the ageing Active Directory
- Strengthened network access security with smart controls and multi-factor authentication
- Implementation of emergency kill-switch mechanisms to rapidly isolate threats
Windows Server 2016 and its Active Directory gave way to Azure and MS Entra ID. This migration freed up the on-premises servers while bringing modern security and flexibility. MS Intune took over as the centralised management layer for all PCs, both desktop and laptop.
The cybersecurity plan detailed every vulnerability alongside its dedicated solution. Network access controls based on identity and user behaviour. Intelligent event monitoring with automated alerts and programmed responses. Security became proactive rather than reactive.
The results: a resilient infrastructure
Esches Vallée's infrastructure underwent a complete transformation in just a few months. Full visibility over IT assets, controlled access, and rapid threat response.
Teams worked with the same fluidity as before, but within an infinitely more secure environment. The cloud migration reduced maintenance costs while increasing service availability.
